Healthy Habit #22: Surprise Your Metabolism
As soon as you awake in the morning, roll right out of bed and do a quick high-intensity circuit training routine for just 5 minutes. This quick 5 minute routine will shock your metabolism and get it going strong for the day. Here’s an example of what you could do:
- 5 push-ups
- 10 squats
- 10 lunges
- 10 jumping jacks
- jog in place for one minute
Healthy Habit #23: An apple (or more) a day
Apples are packed with both fiber and water, so your stomach will want less. Plus, studies out of Washington State and Brazil have shown that people who eat at least three apples or pears a day lose weight. Try two small apples and two fewer large cookies. (Saves 100 calories)
Healthy Habit #24: Shop till the pounds drop
Did you know that you could burn calories while shopping? Go to a clothing store and try on at least ten ten outfits (both pants and shirts), and you will burn 60 calories. Save your money though – No need to buy!
