A year ago now, I posted my 30 before 30 bucket list. Little did I know that I would find out in less than a week that I was pregnant! That changed some of my priorities. So today I give you the 30 before 30 list that I did complete before my 30th birthday!
**If you want to make a similar list, I would encourage you to check out the original post, as it has some printables for making your own 30 before 30 list!
My husband and I took a trip to Colorado the weekend before my birthday, just to knock out some of these 30 before 30s! That’s right, I just made “30 before 30″ into a noun. The trip was so much fun and the weather was GORGEOUS! We’ll have to move to Colorado some day.
Here’s my official

When I was building my 30 before 30 bucket list, I came across Robyn, who celebrated her 38th birthday by completing 38 random acts of kindness. I LOVED her idea and immediately knew I wanted to do the same.
So I will be spending the week of my 30th birthday completing 30 random acts of kindness. I personally can’t wait.
I would love it if you celebrated my birthday with me by doing just ONE act of kindness during the week of my birthday, September 25th and sharing it with me!! I would be honored if you would leave a comment describing something you kindly and unexpectedly did for someone else. It would honestly be an awesome birthday present!
I’ll be back after this fun weekend trip to Colorado with my husband. We’ll be spreading the kindness around. Next week I’ll

I’m turning 30 this month!! AAhhhh!!!!! Crazy, right?
Remember my 30 before 30 bucket list?
Before my son was born I was pretty ambitious in what I wanted to accomplish the last month of my pregnancy and the two months following. Since I’m a first time mom, I didn’t know if my priorities would change after giving birth (which they did) and I didn’t know how much time I would have to devote to my bucket list (very little, if any).
For the months of May and June I had many goals, but what I really got done was:
finished decorating the nursery (and redecorated it once I had a baby boy) continued to walk on a semi-regular basis finished reading most of the baby books I had (list and review coming later!) stocked my freezer before the

Hello all! Can you believe it’s March already?
At the beginning of this year, I decided to think about my long term goals and set monthly goals, not any yearly goals.
I want them to be more specific and easier to evaluate whether or not I’m staying on track.
I’ve learned that sometimes my priorities and goals change (like when I got pregnant). I don’t know what motherhood is going to entail completely and it would be hard to set goals for this whole year, since I will have a baby in June. So, I’ve decided to set goals for a few months at a time, instead of the whole year.
My focus word for this year is self-discipline. I am inspired to set my goals and really be diligent about following through. Yet, I’m also going to give myself grace to change a goal or prioritize certain goals.

I’ve been doing some thinking on last year’s goals. I was very ambitious in my list and did not complete almost half of my goals. Though I did make some progress and it’s good to map out where you want to go. I just was to ambitious in what I wanted to take on at a time.
Tomorrow I will post last year’s goals recap and this year’s goals. I know I definitely want to cut back on the number of goals I make this year. I want them to be more specific and easier to evaluate whether or not I’m staying on track. Finally, I’ve learned that sometimes my priorities and goals change (like when I got pregnant). I don’t know what motherhood is going to entail completely and it would be hard to set goals for this whole year, since I will have a baby in June. So, I’ve decided to

I am definitely a list maker at heart. I L-O-V-E making lists.
In fact, I have been SOO looking forward to this point in my life (just ask my husband) in which I can write a list of 30 things I want to accomplish before I turn 30!!
The lists I make are often unachievable, because there is just so much I want to do, and I am often too optimistic about what I can fit into my life. So, for many of these goals I have listed both a task I KNOW I can accomplish and one I would like to accomplish that fits into the same category.
And… The List! :
1. Start writing a children’s book.
2. Take a cooking class (or watch a couple cooking demonstrations).
3. Learn a new dance (perhaps Argentine
