Every weekday morning from November 5 to December 7 (skipping the week of Thanksgiving), Crystal will post the day’s assignment and then every evening she will share her progress and host a link-up for you to share your progress and pictures, too.
I love that this accountability will keep me doing something little everyday to keep the house organized. Most of her organizing assignments will only take 20 minutes or less! For example, here was the assignment for [...]
I’ve really enjoyed writing this series, and getting the chance to experiment with Homemade Cleaners. My journey is not over though. I plan on continuing to pin Homemade Cleaner Recipes to my 31 Days board, and from time to time I’ll post about Homemade Cleaners I’ve tried. If you missed any of my post, just check out the list below!
To tell you the truth I hadn’t really thought a lot about cleaning my mattress until I came up with the idea for this series and started researching.
This cleaning routine will help get rid of those bed bugs, dust mites, and dead skin lurking on your mattress. Using baking soda draws up any deep dirt and ick that has been lying on your mattress.
There are many things I won’t be able to touch on during this 31 day series. The main reason I wanted to write this 31 Day series is so that I would be motivated to build a cleaning routine myself, and stick to it for a month, or more. Now, I have not stuck to it perfectly, but I am still motivated to clean when I can.
By the end of the week, most of what I wanted cleaned is accomplished.
I wanted to list a round-up of all the cleaner recipes I’ve posted so far in this 31 Day series. I have sped through so many, I though it would be helpful to list the recipes THAT WORKED for me, in room categories:
These are easy to make!! This is a great way to have the luxury of wipes, but without all the harmful chemicals store-bought wipes contain. Super easy (did I mention that?).
All you need is: Paper towels Vinegar Air tight container
I’ve also heard very good things about this recipe from Living on a Dime:
Homemade Disinfectant Wipes: 1 cup of water 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol 2 Tbsp. Dawn dish soap (only use Dawn) 2 Tbsp. ammonia (optional)
I pinned this great tip on my 31 Days to building a cleaning routine board! I don’t know if you have a microfiber couch or chair, but this really works! We have microfiber chairs as our kitchen table chairs. Let me tell you…NOT a great idea! Thankfully it works because we don’t have kids yet. I can’t imagine how dirty they would be all the time if we had kids.
So, if you are thinking about microfiber for [...]
I can’t believe how easy this was! I chose a recipe #3 from One Good Thing, who originally got it from Why not Sew. I love that I could do it all within a big pot on the stove (without getting a gallon bucket with a lid, etc.)!
I’ve been doing some reading and rereading and gathering laundry recipes. I know what recipes I want to try, I just need to find a day to do it.
Recipe #1
At first, I was going to try this recipe from I can Teach my Child. However it makes a lot!! (which might be most cost efficient, right?) Looks like it works great and doesn’t produce suds in the water – perfect for the new HE washers.
Later this week I’m going to try out a homemade laundry detergent recipe. I was supposed to get to it today…but I didn’t. It’s just been one of those days that get away from you so fast. So, I’m just going to post about a cleaning recipe I’m going to try soon! (Source)
Hi! So glad to see you here. I'm a soon-to-be mom, wife and a work-at-home piano teacher and tutor. I know I'm weird, but I love to menu plan, organize, set goals, DIY and enjoy life with my amazing husband - Matt Pool!
