Here is my Take it on Tuesday project: This year for Christmastime, I wanted to bless my husband by doing something thoughtful for him. He is the perfect guy for me: strong, yet sensitive, affectionate and understanding. I love him so much, but I don’t often show it in his love language: words of encouragement.
I’m combining what I saw on All Our Days, and the idea of speaking words of encouragement to him. I know that the actual 12 days of Christmas begin on Christmas Day, but ours will run from December 13th through Christmas Eve. Each day my husband [...]

I’ve been looking at a lot of blogs that give Homemade Cleaning Recipes for awhile now, and pinning them. I’m so excited to try my hand at making them and cleaning!!
Having some new really motivates me to use it, even if it is a cleaner.
I specifically searched for cleaning recipes that would use inexpensive items (or items I already had on hand) and would serve more than one purpose.
Hey everyone! In the fall mood yet? Look for the TIOT link party to go live Tuesday morning at 6am! I can’t wait to see what you have been up to!
Today I have three kids of easy to make pumpkins to share with you!!

This first pumpkin was SO EASY to make!! I even showed a friend how and whipped up two more in 5 minutes! This idea was originally from Our Pinteresting Family: Plastic Bag Pumpkins. Check out her post to see the how-to.
Hello! I know I promised to reveal my wreath yesterday, but sometimes real life trumps blogging. In this case, “real life” meant going to our bi-annual Library sale and picking up a bag full of books for $5 and correcting Chemistry tests.
If you want to link up to Take it on Tuesday, join the party!! There are plenty of great projects to browse through (especially if you are looking for something fall inspired)!
Fall Leaves Wreath
This has been the easiest wreath I’ve made yet. If you have been [...]
Thanks for being part of the giveaway last week! So far, I’ve picked two winners (you will get an email from me shortly):
MyMemories - Jolynda
Your Grocery Budget Toolbox – Nicole
Book page & Leaf Wall Clock
This was rather simple, but I love the look of it. I took the extra book pages left from my DIY Kindle cover project.
I’ve had my wall clock for awhile, and it was a flag wall clock up until today. I love the texture on the leaves and the added depth the book pages gives it.
Have you been enjoying the week of giveaways? I have!! My 1 year blogiversary is TOMORROW and I’m celebrating by offering 7 giveaways! Don’t miss out. Each day I’ll post something different.
Today’s giveaway are Mason Jar Tumblers!! I made these myself earlier this month and I haven’t stopped drinking from mine yet! I am giving away 2 Mason Jar Tumblers to one person. For those who don’t win, they are pretty easy to make.
Last week I showed you my DIY Kindle Cover. From it, I have leftover book pages. I want to [...]
You are going to want to subscribe by email on the sidebar, because next week I have one week of giveaways – 1 giveaway happening each day, for a total of 7 different giveaways!
After seeing so many cute Kindle covers on Pinterest, I asked for you votes at the beginning of this month which I should work on for Take it on Tuesday. You voted, and there was not a clear majority, so I picked my favorite – #2. (pinned here)
If you’ve been Romance on a dime for awhile, you can tell I often deviate from the original plan. Life happens. Last week we were on vacation and the weekend was spent with catching up on life, not working on projects.
So this week, I’m going to show you my cute Jewelery Organizer /Earring Display, not the DIY Kindle cover (that will be next week).
All you need:
- cute frame (with backing piece)
- burlap
How-to:
This is so simple, you don’t need a pictorial tutorial! Just remove the glass (if your frame [...]
