About Pendleton’s Country Market
Pendleton’s is a local family farm that started about 40 years ago. I love to visit the Pendleton’s booth at Lawrence’s Farmer’s Market as well as just driving out. It is located less than 2 miles east of Lawrence on K-10.

While Betsy is rocking the food and DIY world and pinching every penny she can, I am attempting to do the same in the tech world. So, this TIOT focuses on a project I took on that has us now paying less than half of what we used to pay for our cell phones while retaining all of the smart phone functionality (including data).

We’ve been eating out of the pantry and freezer this month. There are a couple of reasons:
1) We had lots of leftovers from the holidays.
2) We were low on money for groceries this month.
3) We wanted to clean out the pantry and freezer to make room for a healthier diet.
I’m really excited about this week’s menu plan, because it uses mainly pantry items and produce on sale this week! (I used The Prudent Homemaker’s Strictly Pantry Menu as an inspiration for most of this menu!)
For now, I’m putting the Volumetrics diet on hold, while I clear out my pantry and freezer items. At the same time, I am using some meal ideas from the Volumetrics book (especially breakfast and lunch). We’ve been trying to have more vegetables and fruit with each meal. As you read yesterday, I’ve was on a cruise for 10 days last week. I had scheduled last week’s DIY Home Management Binder printables for the blog hop, but I was not able to have internet access while on the cruise and thus was not very active on the blogsphere. I am excited to be back now!
