It’s been awhile since I posted a Menu Plan, sorry. With my pregnancy being further along I’m focusing more on prepping for a baby and getting the nursery ready. I’ve still come up with a menu most weeks (but usually not until Tuesdays).
Menu Plan
Monday: Homemade Bread Bowls with Broccoli Cheddar Soup (I’m made it once, but I’m trying out the recipe again. I’ll post the bread bowl recipe later.)
I’ve been telling you that since beginning this 2nd trimester I’ve been a LOT hungrier, especially in the mornings. I’ve been eating 2 breakfasts because I just get really hungry so fast after my serving of Homemade Granola and yogurt in the mornings. Last week I started teaching again and I needed a breakfast that would be quick and would keep me full longer. I came up with a recipe that I’m going to try most mornings to make. It’s so easy, and eggs are a pregnancy power food.
Those of you who have been with Romance on a dime for awhile know that I’m pretty dedicated to my blog and regularly host Take it on Tuesday every week. Since I’ve been pregnant, I have been a lot more tired, and a lot less motivated to DIY/blog. Weird. My 2nd trimester is just beginning, so I’m hoping that with the coming of January I can get back to my normal self!!
Sorry, I didn’t get to commenting on your projects last week, but I did do some pinning and selected some to feature:
I know I didn’t post our menu plan last week – sorry! Our favorite meal was the Taco Pizza my husband envisioned: Refried Beans as the sauce, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, ground hamburger with taco seasoning, black olives, tomatoes (which we added to the pizza when we were halfway through cooking it), and shredded lettuce (added after taking out of oven). So good!!
Menu Plan
Quick Chicken Parmesan from Eating Well
Monday: Costco hotdogs (we are shopping at Costco and just grabbing dinner there – $1.50 for a meal each!)
Now that I’ve officially announced that I’m pregnant, I’m probably going to be using that excuses for many things. Especially since I’m in the first trimester still, it’s VERY hard to menu plan when you are nauseated and many meals you look at don’t sound appealing. It’s been hard to menu plan.
So I planned on posting about the Sourdough stuffing, but I think I’ll show you just a few pictures I took. This is what cooking for Thanksgiving looks like when you are pregnant – semi-messy table and cutting everything sitting down (with a pillow propped behind [...]
Well, after my 31 Day series in October, it’s time to get back to the routine of posting my menu plans here on Romance on a dime. (I did still menu plan during October MOST of the weeks, I just didn’t take the time to post it here.)
I’m not going grocery shopping until tomorrow, so some of the details such as sides and what type of pizza I haven’t determined yet. I’m going to be picking up what’s on sale and making something from that.
This week, I chose several recipes from Cooking Light.
I think I’m going to really enjoy being 29 this year. I can’t wait to write out my 30 before 30 bucket list!! Don’t worry, I’ll share it with you after I come up with it.
Menu Plan Breakfasts
Last week I shared with you the 6 new Green Thickies we were going to try. We definitely had our favorites, which we will be making again this week:
Hi! So glad to see you here. I'm a soon-to-be mom, wife and a work-at-home piano teacher and tutor. I know I'm weird, but I love to menu plan, organize, set goals, DIY and enjoy life with my amazing husband - Matt Pool!
