This week we have Debbie Does Creations in the Spotlight! I have LOVED all the projects she has linked up to my Take it on Tuesday blog hop. It’s fun to see what she comes up with – very creative! Here’s what Debbie has created:

Have you heard of Washi Tape? If not, stay tuned. I am going to show you how I created my Patriotic Washi Tape Candles this past week and at the end I am going to showcase some lovely projects from some dear friends of mine. You will be able to see all the greatness that you can create with Washi Tape!
First I want to thank Betsy for having me. I have been following Romance on a Dime since I started blogging in February. Yes, I’m a newbie but I love it so much! Thank you Betsy!

I would love to invite you over to my place. On Tuesdays I host a Toot Your Horn linky party where you can Toot Your Horn on just about anything you want. I love to create things but my niche would be holiday crafts. I heart decorating for all holidays. You should see my house at Christmas. Love that time of year. Well enough about me. Let’s learn about what we can do with Washi Tape!
I was at Target the other day and bought the last three tapes they had. They come 4 to a pack for $4.00. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them at first but it finally hit me. I need to start decorating the mantel for Memorial Day. And, I think the colors are fun and summery enough. If you don’t know what Washi Tape is, it is decorative tape found in the office supply section. Here is the Washi Tape that I purchased:
At first I thought I would wrap the candle holders themselves but then I thought, no, that’s already been done. Let’s see if this stuff sticks to the candle. Sure enough it did! I started wrapping from the top. Below is a picture where I am halfway through wrapping the candles:
I completely eye-balled it and didn’t measure. I literally wrapped my candles in less than 5 minutes! Here is the final product:
When I get done decorating in a patriotic style I will show you my finished mantel. For now, I LOVE my Washi Tape candles. Very patriotic looking
Want some more Washi Tape inspiration? Let’s look at my friends creations.
