Instagram fun & Men's Daily Photo Challenge

Hello everyone! I’m not going to be posting the Weekly Grocery Deals or Frugal recipe this week. Tomorrow though, I’m going to share the recipe I used for pickles! Then, on Saturday I’m hosting Romance on a dime’s first giveaway! So excited!!

Today I wanted to put a little plug in for an instagram photo a day challenge my husband came up with. He was envious of the fun I’ve been having with Fatmumslim’s Photo a Day and I’m excited for August!!

He decided that all the Photo challenges out their were too girly and so he created a men’s challenge. He’s going to be hashtagging #manstagram and #manstagramAug .

**This is not for men only, but rather it is tailored so that men will enjoy it. ie. Not required to take a picture of a heart or flower or some other un-manly thing**.

Here is why I choose to join in on daily photo challenges:

1. It causes you to stop and smell the roses…or for my husband…stop and smell the meat! There is at least one moment each day when you will be looking around for something to photograph. It’s always good to take a quiet moment and really see things.

2. It causes you to flex your creative muscles. I don’t consider myself a creative person, or at least I need to keep practicing in order to stay somewhat creative. This is one fun and simple way to keep at it!

3. It allows you to see value and beauty in the everyday. You might find yourself taking more pictures of what you do everyday. I’m taking more photos and am glad I’m not missing out in these photo opportunities.

4. It is an easy goal that can help positively motivate you towards other goals. ‘Nuff said.

Bonus: You get to see how creative other people are within the same rules!!
