I’m definitely making this an annual tradition.
I was looking for an excuse to get all the young ladies from our church together, so we could get to know one another better when I came across Domestic Fashionista’s Valentine’s Day Tea party idea! You should check out her post and ooh and aah at her decorations!!
I took her idea and made the best with what I had (and with the little energy I had this week). I already showed you my Valentine Tree and Wall clock, which I LOVE!
I went to Target the day after Valentine’s Day and they had some pretty cute stuff. Their whole Valentine section was 50% off!! I picked up some cute pillows fro $6 each:
I also got this matching table runner and candy heart bowl!!
I served hot tea, heart-shaped rice krispie treats, strawberries, and yogurt parfaits with homemade granola. One of the women brought cucumber sandwiches. MmmMm! The food table partway through the afternoon:
Check out my Valentine’s Pinterest board for some of the inspiration recipes. Finally, I gave each guest Fudge Brownie Mix in mason jars. I didn’t get a good picture of mine, but here is a picture from NZ Ecochick:
Besides talking, we decided to take on a craft – T-shirt Necklace Scarves. I really should have taken a picture of everyone’s scarves – they looked fantastic!! But, alas, I didn’t. We used the tutorial from Domestic Fashionista.
Everyone had a great time. I’m going to start hosting this annually! So, off the the thrift store to start collecting vintage tea cups!!

What a sweet idea Betsy! We have a Mothers Tea at our church around Mothers Day. I would not have room at my house for everyone, but I love the idea.
hugs,
