Hello all! It’s time for a pregnancy update! Last week I shared how week 19 went and some cloth diapers we had bought. Today I’m going to share about how week 20 of pregnancy went!
Week 20
How I feel – Last week I talked about ligament pain. It’s much better this week, especially since I’ve been careful when standing up, and I’ve been stretching more.
Waddling? – My husband first spotting me waddling this Sunday. I think on some days I waddle (when my hips are a little stiff), and sometimes I don’t.
Total weight gain/loss? – This week I gained 1 pound. So now, I’m at a 11 pound gain overall during this pregnancy, which is on track.
Sleep – Most of the time lately I’ve been sleeping until 5 or 6am. Then, I wake up (not sure why because most of the time I don’t have to go to the bathroom) BUT I do feel our Baby girl moving around a lot. Did she wake me up?
Cravings – My appetite is more normal now, so I haven’t had a lot of cravings (other than for sugar). I try not to have a lot of sugar in the house, since I have the biggest sweet tooth. But on Sunday my husband mentioned we had to pick up something at a house near Munchers Bakery and once I heard that I HAD to have a doughnut!
Movement - YES!! I feel baby girl moving all the time, especially in the mornings, evenings, and when I’m teaching piano.
It’s so much fun to be in this stage when I feel her!! Most of the movement is pretty low, but one night after I had some sparkling grace juice, she was moving around a lot and I felt a big kick pretty high (near my belly button). I told my husband to place his hand there and just a few seconds later, we felt another kick! Both of our eyes grew wide and we look at each other.
Miss anything? – Not too much. Just wine and even most of the time it’s easy just not to think about it.
Wedding ring on or off? – Still on.
Best moment last week? - Watching my husband’s reaction to feeling baby girl kick, feeling her move all the time myself, AND getting a garbage bag of 0-9 month girl clothes (plus lots of toddler clothing)!!!
What I am looking forward to - Continuing to feel the baby and also my husband being able to feel baby girl kick even more.
Our little “June Bug’s” Growth
We’ve been taking photos since week 6 and showing a fruit or vegetable in the picture that is the same size as our little “June Bug”. Last week: our little girl was the weight of a small cantelope (6 inches long from head to bottom and weighs 8.5 ounces) This week we start to measure the baby from head to toe: 10 inches in length (banana) and 10.5 ounces:
