Hello all! It’s time for a pregnancy update! The weeks are going by fast now! Last week I shared how week 24 went. Today I’m going to share about how week 25 of pregnancy went!
Week 25
How I feel – I feel so, so blessed!! We are already getting spoiled and Baby Girl is going to be VERY SPOILED!! Our family has already been buying some gifts (more on that later). This week I’ve felt pretty normal and I keep looking at myself and thinking – I’m getting so big!!
Total weight gain/loss? – No weight gain this week. I’m surprised though, because I’ve had ice cream several nights in a row…. Overall, I’m at a 14 pound weight gain.
Maternity clothes – I haven’t had to buy any more yet. Yay – thanks to a friend donating a bunch of maternity tops – I have even more choices in my wardrobe!! I was worried at this point I wouldn’t fit into my maternity jeans I bought awhile ago, but they still fit.
Innie or outie? – Still an innie, but it’s poking out enough to see through t-shirt material.
Sleep - Sleep has been pretty good. A few nights I woke up early, like this morning when I woke up at 3:45am. Amazingly enough, I’ve had enough energy to do what I wanted today. (I’m going to feel it tomorrow though.)
Wedding ring on or off? - Still on.
Cravings – Just sweet things and ice cream, still. It’s hard not to give in to ice cream (especially when your husband is just as eager to go to DQ and they are having a sale until March 24th for buy one, get then second blizzard for 99 cents!!)
Best moment last week? - A few nights ago, my husband and I were hanging out on the couch and Matt decides to talk to our Baby Girl. He leans over to my stomach and says her name and she kicked a little below where he spoke!! He did it again, a little lower and again she kicked below his voice. A third time he said her name and she kicked a third time!
Either she likes her name, or she likes her daddy’s voice.
This week we were pleasantly surprised to receive a couple of mysterious packages on our front door. Turns out family has already sent us some baby gifts!!
We received an ergo carrier – Matt and I had so much fun trying it out and imaging a baby in the carrier.
We also received this cute Wubbanub!
Nursery progress – We have put everything up that we need to on Craigslist. If it’s not out in 2 weeks, we are just going to donate some of the items. Know anyone who wants a huge bean bag chair with a foot rest?
Secondly, I’ve been to the paint store, checked on some prices and brought home paint chips. I’m going to consults with my peeps over the weekend – it’s so hard to pick a gray!! And do I really want to spend $6 for a sample can? I probably do, once I narrow it down to two.
What I am looking forward to - The next appointment with my midwife is next week. I will have the glucose screening done, but nothing else big for that appointment. It always takes forever to draw blood from me, because my veins hide. Hopefully, since I have a higher volume of blood it will be easier this time.
A couple of weeks ago Matt and I hired a doula!! She is coming with me to this appointment, so I’m excited for that!! I Love her facebook page – she is constantly posting useful information and articles! Check out Mothers Matter Doula Care!!
Our little “June Bug’s” Growth
We’ve been taking photos since week 6 and showing a fruit or vegetable in the picture that is the same size as our little “June Bug”. Last week: our little girl was 12.5 inches long (cucumber) and 1 pound, 4 ounces in weight. This week: 13.5 inches long and 1.5 pounds in weight (supposed to be a rutabaga but I haven’t bought one yet).
