Last week I talked about my June goals and priorities. One of my goals is to lose 5 pounds for the month of June. In order for that to happen, I want to track my calorie intake and weight. As an app lover, I’ve tried several. Recently I came across MyFitnessTracker and I LOVE it!! It’s so easy to use, very customizable, and FREE.
Instead of just “going on a diet”, I want to change my lifestyle so that I am consistently living and eating healthier. With MyFitnessTracker I can easily track my eating habits and weight loss in one place!! (By the way My Fitness Pal doesn’t know I’m writing this, so I’m getting no compensation.)
I just had to put in my height, weight, age, how much weight I wanted to lose, and then it sets your calorie/day goal (which you can change if you want).
Once that is done, you can:
- Track what you eat. After you create a meal, it’s an easy few clicks to add it another day!
- Search a food database of over 1,803,000 items
- Daily log your weight and calorie intake. You can even add in how many calories you have exerted exercising and see the net calories.
- My favorite feature – after the day is over MyFitnessPal will let you know how many pounds you will lose in 5 weeks if you eat the same way.

Thanks so much for the feature!!! I use my fitness pal, too. And it’s great. By dinner, I’m usually almost out of calories so it helps me defeat my desert cravings. Good luck, caloris counting is what works for me.

Nice! Yes, it’s really helpful to help you “budget” your calories a little better. Dessert is my downfall as well, so this is nice to help me have a reason to say no.
Sounds like an awesome app. I lost 20 lbs. by simply eating healthy. Basically just paying attention to what I eat. Another thing was that I never ate breakfast and now I force myself to eat something in the morning. Good luck with your weight loss goals.

Taking care about your calorie intake is necessary, not just because it helps you to avoid being overweight, it is the first step of an organic nutrition which keeps you healthy and fit!
