Take it on Tuesday #33: Taking charge of my Calorie Intake

Last week I talked about my June goals and priorities. One of my goals is to lose 5 pounds for the month of June. In order for that to happen, I want to track my calorie intake and weight. As an app lover, I’ve tried several. Recently I came across MyFitnessTracker and I LOVE it!! It’s so easy to use, very customizable, and FREE.

 

Instead of just “going on a diet”, I want to change my lifestyle so that I am consistently living and eating healthier. With MyFitnessTracker I can easily track my eating habits and weight loss in one place!! (By the way My Fitness Pal doesn’t know I’m writing this, so I’m getting no compensation.)

 

I just had to put in my height, weight, age, how much weight I wanted to lose, and then it sets your calorie/day goal (which you can change if you want).

 

Once that is done, you can:

  • Track what you eat. After you create a meal, it’s an easy few clicks to add it another day!
  • Search a food database of over 1,803,000 items

  • Daily log your weight and calorie intake. You can even add in how many calories you have exerted exercising and see the net calories.
  • My favorite feature – after the day is over MyFitnessPal will let you know how many pounds you will lose in 5 weeks if you eat the same way.
