Thanks everyone for linking up last week! I really enjoyed looking at all your projects and I ended up pinning many of them onto my favorites board last week! I had to post 5 favorite’s:
Jadyn’s {Dutch.British.Love} Sheet Music & Glitter Heart – If you are looking for an easy Valentine’s Day present, check out her adorable project!
Jen’s {At Home in the Northwest} Pantry Labels -besides this post, she also has a great one in which she shows her pantry organization!
Marissa’s {Rae Gun Ramblings} Big Bow Pillow Cases Tutorial – Here’s a great 10-minute tutorial to make these beautiful pillow cases!
Liesl’s {Junk in their Trunk} Cousin Blocks - This is such a creative way to teach your child their cousin’s names and letters of the alphabet!
Kari’s {Newlyweds on a Budget} Valentine’s Day Wreath - Love this so much, I’m inspired to make my own wreath!! I’ll probably show it off next week!

Last week, I started working on a hand-painted ceramic mug. Here is the finished product:
As soon as the beginning of the New Year came and went, I’ve been seeing all sorts of Valentine’s day treats and crafts to make. I wanted to make something simple, and one of the blogs I follow recently posted her Candy Cane Hearts.
I thought these were SOO cute! However, I didn’t want to buy candy melts and tried to think of something I already had on hand to use. It didn’t really work out…
I put the candy canes and the marshmallows in the oven for 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes. As you can see, the marshmallows did stick, but they stuck to the wax paper and didn’t hold together like candy melts or chocolate would have. I might try yet with chocolate Hershey kisses.

The mug turned out so cute! My kids came home from church with those candy cane hearts. They broke pretty easy, but were super cute.

Cool. I assume the candy cane hearts your kids brought home were filled with candy melts and not marshmallows, right?
Thanks – I love the mug.
