First, I’d like to show you what I’ve been up to this week, then I’ll reveal my favorite 5! Finally, scroll down to link up your new projects!!

Craft Closet Organization

I’ve FINALLY been able to organize a little around the house. Not only am I going to show you some craft organization today, but pretty soon I’ll be showing you my desk and hall closet organization.

Before                                                                   After

(Not much storage space, and wasted space in the middle of the closet.)

I know it’s not pretty yet, but this has allowed me to bring up all my craft supplies and store it in one place. I’m thinking about painting the bookshelf, but I’m not sure what color yet. I don’t like the dark color, especially when the closet itself doesn’t have any light. (And we can’t add anything except for battery powered lights.)

For right now, I didn’t want to spend any money to organize my supplies, so I just went through my house and collected containers I wasn’t using to organize the crafts temporarily. Here’s a close up of one of the bookshelves:

The shoe box on the very top of the bookshelf houses all my greeting cards. When I was teaching at a school a couple of years ago, a Hallmark employee brought a whole bunch of greeting cards they were going to toss to school and I picked up several. This is my organized box of greeting cards:

Besides my bookshelf, I’m also using the back of the office door to organize some of my craft supplies:

The quick oats containers are holding my corks and gold Christmas ornaments. I’ve just labeled them with sticky notes, because I still am playing around with the organization and deciding whether or not I want to keep the containers. If I do, I’ll probably cover them in a pretty paper.

Do you have any ideas for this space?
