How is everyone’s week going? Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! Ours was busy – we ran a 5K on Saturday, then had a packed full rest of the weekend.
Thanks to everyone who linked up last week! YOU make this a success!! I make it my priority to follow everyone’s blog by the second time they link up (usually in my Google Reader). I also pin your projects on my Favorite’s Board.
This week I’m focusing on Google +. I would love to start following your page on Google + if you have one, then please follow me back!!
First, I’d like to show you what I’ve been up to this week, then I’ll reveal my favorite 5! Finally, scroll down to link up your new projects!!
Hall Closet Organization
Unfortunately, I don’t have a before pictures of our hall closet. Let me just say, there were a LOT of loose items and it wasn’t categorized very well.
I added an assortment of baskets and containers. Like my craft closet organization last week, my goal is to organize with the things I already have – we don’t have money at the moment to go out and buy something really cute.
It’s not that I’m a genius at organizing any of this stuff, but I thought that showing you what I’ve been doing might encourage/inspire you to go and figure out what works best for you.
The things we got rid of:
- twin bedspread and shams
- expired medicine
Bottom shelf
This shelf stores many of our “extras”: toilet paper, shampoo, and travel items/free samples. The three baskets used to be under our bed, but now I’m happy I’ve cleared out enough space that I can put it on our hall closet:
Second-to bottom shelf
In the basket, we have all our travel bags and more travel items. Then, on the right side we have organized all our extra products for our teeth.
Third shelf
All of our medicine and first aid items are in the big basket. The small basket has our “sun” items.
Fourth shelf
This has candles, hand towels, and then my “pamper basket“. There were some smaller items I didn’t know where to put and some things I knew I wanted to try soon, so I just put it together in this red basket. Whenever I need pamper time, I can just grab this out and see what I have!
Top shelf
Of course, it makes the most sense to have the extra pillows and towels on the top shelf:
