Thanks to everyone who linked up last week! YOU make this a success!!
This week I’m focusing on Google +. I would love to start following your page on Google + if you have one, then please follow me back!!
I make it my priority to follow everyone’s blog by the second time they link up (usually in my Google Reader). I also pin your projects on my Favorite’s Board.
First, I’d like to show you what I’ve been up to this week, then I’ll reveal my favorite 5! Finally, scroll down to link up your new projects!!
May’s Goals list Update
In January, I shared most of my goals for 2012. Then, I broke those goals down into monthly and weekly goals. Last month, for the first time I decided to start sharing my monthly goals here. I know that this additional accountability (and the personal discipline of getting up earlier) has helped me to get through more of my goals.
It’s amazing how mapping out a plan and then being intentional to follow through one a day at a time, really adds up to show good progress!
Here’s May’s goal list with updates in blue next to each item:
Wife/Marriage Goals
1. Weekly write a love note to Matt - yes! I did this each week, in various forms.
2. Call my sisters on a semi-weekly basis - almost. I was glad I did get to hang out with both of the individually! If I don’t keep up at being intentional to set a time to be with them, my busy life will just take over.
Home Management Goals
3. Finish the Declutter project - pretty much! The only places we haven’t finished are our garage sale area (we plan to have a garage sale soon) and the unfinished basement (we need to hang shelves).
4. Organize the sewing/crafts supplies - yes!!
5. Make a master list of favorite recipes and calculate cost for each recipe - no, I haven’t gotten very far on this project, but I’ve at least started it!
6. Weekly freezer cooking - yes. I haven’t mentioned it every week, but this month I did succeed in making DIY Easy Yogurt, Berry Yogurt Popsicles, and Amish White Bread.
Personal Goals
7. Run a 5K with husband - Yes! We ran in a race on May 26th. We are planning another one for June!
8. Lose 5 pounds - almost – I lost 4 pounds.
9. Read at least 36 chapters of the Old Testament - no. I kind of failed at this.
10. Finish the Resolutions for Women study and start a new study - yes!
11. Complete 31 Days of No Complaining - yes. I was not perfect, but I tried for 31 Days, and I will continue trying.
Blogging/Business Goals
12. Set up a “recipes” section to my blog - I have started this. I have just not published it.
13. Reach 8,000 pageviews for this month (or at least 40,000 total) - Yes! and yes!! I reached 8,536 pageviews for the month of May – that is 2,000 more than last month. As of May 31st, I had received about 42,500 pageviews total.
14. Meet with piano students and tutor students’ parents
15. Plan a piano recital for June
June’s Goals
Faith
1. Pray every evening with my husband.
2. Bible Reading in a year – read at least 36 chapters this month.
3. Memorize Colossians in a year – 2 verses a week! (I’m really going to start this in July, but I want to get a bit of a head start this month.)
Wife/Marriage Goals
4. Read One of Us Must Be Crazy…. and I’m Pretty Sure It’s You by Tim & Joy Downs.
5. Weekly write a love note to Matt.
6. Call my sisters and my to talk on the phone at least 2 times this month, and hang with them at least 2 times this month.
Health
7. Run a second 5K with husband! (Continue to workout regularly.)
8. Lose 5 more pounds.
9. Plan meals according to how many calories my husband and I want to consume each day (using the Volumetrics diet).
10. Start eating organic when it comes to the dirty dozen of foods (post on that later).
Home Management Goals
11. Hang shelves in basement.
12. Compile a list of favorite recipes and calculate the cost for each recipe.
13. Weekly freezer cooking.
14. Use the sewing machine for at least one project.
15. Clean or organize for at least 15 minutes each day.
16. Check email only 2-3 times a day instead of every time I get a notification. (I’m turning my notifications off on the my phone!!)
Blogging/Business Goals
17. Set up a “recipes” section to my blog.
18. Create a new header/layout to my blog.
19. Add watermarks to my pictures.

Congratulations on your first 5K! I remember mine clearly and it was 4 years ago (might even be 5) yet I still remember such a thrill of accomplishment when I reached the finish line.
