I hope you didn’t miss out on last week’s amazing TIOT post by my husband. He explained our new cell phone plan that cut our phone bill in half!! He has responded to some of your comments and questions now.
This week’s Take it on Tuesday was organizing our coat closet. I wanted to show you the progress we made. It’s so nice to have the continuing accountability of sharing something I’ve “taken on” each Tuesday. It’s given me even more motivation me to work!
Coat Closet Organization
The “before” is really messy. My husband and I were tired of our shoes just being thrown into the closet. We wanted to be able to fit multiple shoes in the closet without the mess.
Here is the overall view of the closet:
We bought a shoe organizer that screws to the wall. We paid more money for something that would last for awhile and hold up. Here is the result:

Below is what the closet looks like overall now. When/if we want to spend more money on the closet I would like to buy storage containers for the shelf. It’s not a necessity yet though. We have a lot of storage space in our house as it is.

Nice! A year or so ago I bought one of those plastic over-the-door shoe organizers, and while my husband rarely uses it, I can always find my and my daughter’s shoes.
